Hi, I started teaching at Pioneer Elementary in 1989 and at that time Pioneer was a K-8th grade campus. I have taught kindergarten (10 years), third grade (12 years), fourth grade (5 years), and currently I am teaching 5th grade.  I earned a BA degree at Cal Poly in Ag Business and went to Chapman college to get my teaching degree. I love learning new things and improving my teaching style so I am getting my master's degree at Fresno Pacific in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) so that I can bring the lastest ideas and hands on activities to improve the learning of my students. I am married with three grown children and two grandchildren. I enjoy camping, riding quads, boating, and spending time with my kids at the family's Bass Lake cabin.  My favorite football team is the Miami Dolphins although they seem to have lots of "rebuilding" years. I also am the person that organizes our school wide recycling program, Read Across America Reader Day, and coach our Pioneer Elementary track team.
