Hello. My name is Dawn Yarr Pollard and I have been proudly serving Pioneer Union School students since 1992.  I have experience teaching first through eighth grade, and 6-8 Reading Intervention, using Evidence Based Literacy Instruction strategies as well as leveled literacy instruction.  Currently, I am teaching 6th grade language arts/social studies and an EBLI class.

I am the proud mother of two grown sons, both graduates of Pioneer Middle School.  Josh is a Fresno County high school teacher and Brandon is an occupational therapist in Washington State. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, gardening, feeding the humming birds and my pet turtle, spending time with my husband, friends and family, and of course planning my next great adventure!
