    Notice of Intention to Appoint School Board Trustee
    Pioneer Union Elementary School District
    Deadline to Apply: September 30, 2020

    TRUSTEE AREA 2 ONLY


    Due to a lack of sufficient candidates for the upcoming school board election in Trustee Area 2, the Governing Board of the Pioneer Union Elementary School District intends to appoint a qualified individual to the Governing Board, pursuant to Education Code section 5091. The appointed individual will fill the vacant position until the November 8, 2022 elections have been held and certified and a newly elected individual has been sworn–in to fill the board position.


    Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the State, resident of the school district, and Trustee Area 2, a registered voter, and not disqualified by the constitution or laws of the state from holding civil office. Interested persons shall provide a written Board Member Application furnishing their name, address, confirming they are 18 years of age or older and not disqualified from holding civil office.


    Board member applications and a map of the trustee area can be downloaded from the Pioneer Union Elementary School District website (www.puesd.net) or obtained at the district office located at 1888 Mustang Drive, Hanford, CA. 93230. Completed applications should be sent to the District Superintendent, Paul van Loon, at the following address 1888 Mustang Drive, Hanford, CA. 93230.
    Qualified individuals will be interviewed by the Governing Board at a public meeting.

    Notice of Opportunity to Submit Comments on the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan

     

    Per Education Code 43509, the Pioneer Union Elementary School District has developed a Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan for the 2020-21 school year. The District is seeking written public comment on the actions and expenditures of the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan. The plan can be accessed HERE or by visiting the homepage of the Pioneer District website.  Written comments can be submitted to Fawn Lemons at the following email address lemonsl@puesd.net.
