My name is Mr. Hodson, and I’ve been a teacher since 2006. I joined Pioneer Elementary School District in 2008, where I’ve had the opportunity to teach 5th grade at Pioneer Elementary and now 6th grade Math and Science at Pioneer Middle School. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, engaging, and academically challenging environment for my students.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a minor in Victimology, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and an Administrative Credential. My educational background has given me a broad perspective on human behavior, critical thinking, and leadership—all of which I bring into the classroom.
Pioneer holds a special place in my heart—not just as a teacher, but also as a parent. Both of my daughters attended Pioneer Elementary and graduated from Pioneer Middle School. My oldest is now a registered nurse living in San Diego, and my youngest is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Psychology at Vanguard University.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and getting outdoors, especially when I have the chance to go fishing.
