I was born and raised in Hanford and attended Pioneer from preschool to 8th grade, I graduated Hanford High School in 2006. Prior to becoming an instructional aide I worked many jobs but my favorite was at Borders where I learned to share my knowledge and love of books with others. I have 2 daughters, Zoey (9) and Gwen (3), who also share my love of books and reading. I have been working in education since my oldest started school in 2016 but this is my first year as our Librarian. 
I have organized our shelves by the most requested genres but it is still a work in progress, because information access and students’ reading tastes are constantly evolving.  With that in mind, I try to have fiction books on hand that will be up-to-date, interesting and fun to read, and non-fiction books that present their subjects in colorful and imaginative ways.
