Greetings ! My name is Alex Lopez and I teach 7th and 8th grade math here at Pioneer Middle School. This is my 5th year at Pioneer. My previous experience includes working as a math teacher for 6 years in high school, and 1 year as a district instructional coach for math. 

The start of my career in education began along the scenic coast of California in Monterey. I taught math for two years at Monterey high school, home of the Toreadors, and also spent time there as an assistant coach with the football team. During my tenure there, I helped start the school’s first computer based math program which utilized math software. I have loved integrating technology into education and have been doing so ever since. 

When I'm not working you can probably find me at the gym or browsing the aisles at Costco. I look foward to working with your students and am happy to be part of the panther family!
