Mrs. Stacey Snodgrass

Fifth Grade

I look forward to a rewarding twenty-third year of teaching at Pioneer Elementary. Though I am currently teaching in my favorite grade level, I have enjoyed teaching 2nd through 5th grade. Working with our older students gives me an opportunity to help them build character, strengthen their independence, and develop into leaders.  This year's motto is to "Stay Positive, Believe in Yourself, and Make It Happen!"

Born and raised in Santa Clara, California, I moved to the central San Joaquin Valley after getting married in 1988. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development from the California State University, Fresno, and received my California Clear Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from Chapman University. In 2006 and 2015, I was honored to be chosen as Pioneer District's Teacher of the Year, and in 2016 I was selected as Kings County Teacher of the Year.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband three sons, daugher-in-laws, and grandsons. I love nature and numbers (that's why I am excited to share my love of math and science with my students)! Other hobbies include reading, playing and perpetuating old-time music (fiddle, guitar, and ukulele), gardening, and traveling. Let's be the best that we can be!  If you put forth your best effort and have faith in yourself, you will always be successful!

Remember, YOU ARE "Braver than you Believe, Stronger than you Seem, Smarter than you Think, and Loved MORE than you will Ever Know".
