Ms. Marisa Duarte

Hi!  My name is Marisa Duarte.  I was born and raised here in Hanford, California.  I attended Monroe School, Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School, and Hanford East Campus High School.  After I graduated high school, I attended College of the Sequoias and received my AA degree.  I then moved to Fresno and attended Fresno State University.  I earned my BA and Multiple Subject Clear Credential with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.

This is my twenty-second year as a teacher.  This is my 8th year working for the Pioneer Elementary School District.  Throughout the years, I have taught kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grade.  I enjoy every moment with my students.  It is amazing to watch them learn and grow!

While I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my children and fiance.  I also enjoy working out, watching my boys play sports, spending quality time with good friends, traveling, and shopping!

I am looking forward to a fun-filled school year with my class!  Teaching is not only a job, but rather, a passion of mine.  It is important that my students and their parents know that I am here for guidance and assistance whenever necessary.  I strive to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
